This is one of our favorite places of all time. Pavle is the ultimate host … Charleen is a magician with fresh vegetables and proteins. A small restaurant, you’ll definitely want to make reservations. It’s never a bad thing to sit at the bar here – belly on up and watch Charleen as she creates her masterpieces.
Charleen’s heavenly braised leeks have been written up by Food & Wine Magazine, as well as loved by all the local food writers. They are seasonal so you can’t get them all the time. If they’re out, don’t despair, there will be plenty of other yummy items on the menu. One of Josh’s favorite items is her lamb riblettes. One time he ordered two plates because he couldn’t get enough! I love the jidori chicken. I’m not one to order chicken when I’m out because it’s normally boring and I eat it a lot at home. Well, I sure don’t eat this at home! It’s so flavorful and juicy. Always delicious! Don’t forget to round it out with some butterscotch pudding.
For your sipping pleasure, ask Pavle to mix up one of his cocktails of the day or recommend an Arizona wine. He always has the best Arizona wines on his list and he won’t steer you wrong.
